Welcome to Confluence From the IT staff!

This guide will go over everything you need to know to get you off on the right foot technology wise. 


1. Welcome to Confluence Investment Management where dreams do come true like Disney movies and stuff.


2. First thing's first lets get you logged into your machine. Your username and password will be provide to you by IT. (most likely you've already completed this step before making it here.)


3. Based on the position you have been hired for you will need to use a certain set of software, confirm this with your manager. Once this list of software has been given, you should open each one to confirm you are able to login.  If you cannot login or still need your login provided to you please let us know.


4. Next we want to confirm that you have DUO access. DUO is our MFA we use. This provides us and you with more security to protect our accounts from bad actors.


  1. Download the Duo app on your phone -- this can be found in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store (free).
  2. Create a ticket at https://support.confluenceim.com and provide your cell phone number.  This will be used to send the activation link to your device in order to configure and activate Duo.
  3. When you receive the SMS/Text message containing the activation link, tap it to open Duo and confirm that Duo has been enrolled.
  4. If you have any trouble with this just communicate with us through the ticket and we will help.


5. Once that is complete download an app called Microsoft company portal. Once this is downloaded login with your email and password. From here you can download applications such as Microsoft teams. This should be your means of communication with co-workers. You can download Outlook to get your emails right on your phone along with other office products to help you work on the go as needed. 


6. Next we want to test your desk phone (if provided) just to make sure everything is working as intended from your cell phone call into your desk phone, confirm it rings. From your desk phone call your cell phone confirm it rings. If both of these work you should be good. 


6. This only concerns anyone outside of sales. Back to your computer, lets confirm you have access to the S Drive and the copier/printers to do this open up file explorer you should see the S drive under Network Locations. Next you want to open Printers and Scanners, confirm you can see printers there. Such as the Canon Copier. If you go to the following  S:\Marketing\Team Info there are multiple excel files called phone list. Open up the most recent and this will give you everyone's number internally. Also you should see a last pass add-in on your browser, you should be able to login here. If you cannot please reach out to us.
